Volunteers Needed

With each production, volunteers are crucial to completing the prep work needed. Even with a general interest in working backstage, we can utilize your talents.

We need people with talent in the following areas:

  • Costume Designer: The costume designer works collaboratively with the director and other designers to help achieve a quality production while adhering to the budget. She/he must research the time-period of the play to insure correct clothing choices. She works with director, the set designer and actors to facilitate the best wardrobe possible for color and design style for a given show. She is ultimately responsible for the purchase or creation of costumes, including hats, purses, gloves, ties, etc., as required. For more info...

  • Director: The Director is ultimately responsible for the artistic and creative decisions regarding the production and therefore has final say on all artistic questions. He/she may overrule the designers if an agreement or compromise cannot be reached. The Director must adhere to the budget set for his/her play by the Board of Directors of Evergreen Productions, Inc. The Board of Directors of Evergreen Productions may replace the director of a show if it deems necessary. For more info....

  • House Manager: The House Manager is expected to be onsite for every performance with an audience (excluding Family Night) and reports to the Stage Manager. Responsibilities include front of house, ushers, intermission. The House Manager is Customer Service for Evergreen. For more info...

  • Lighting Designer/Lighting: The lighting designer works collaboratively with the director and other designers, especially set designer, to help achieve a quality production while adhering to the budget. He brings his expertise as to light requirements, color and design style to bear in the design and use of lights for the production. For more info...

  • Master Carpenter: The master carpenter works collaboratively with the director and set designer and set dresser to help achieve a quality production while adhering to the budget. She/he must work with set designer and dresser regarding color and design style and budget allocations. For more info...

  • Photographer: The Photographer takes pictures at one of the final dress rehearsals during tech week to be used on display in lobby during the run and may also be uploaded to web site. For more info...

  • Property Master/Mistress: The prop master works collaboratively with the director and other designers to help achieve a quality production while adhering to the budget. She/he must research time-period of the play to insure correct props, work with costume and set designers regarding color and design style. The prop master is ultimately responsible for the purchase and/or creation of props.For more info...

  • Running Crew:There will be more than one individual on this crew, and they will be assigned jobs in a specific ‘tech’ area such as lights, sound or backstage. Each crew member will report to Stage Manager. Run crew works from Tech week through the closing night of the play. For more info...

  • Set Designer: The Set Designer works collaboratively with the director and other designers, especially the lighting designer, to help achieve a quality production while adhering to the budget. He/she brings own expertise and research, as to set requirements, color and design style to bear in the design and use of sets for the production. For more info...

  • Set Dresser: The set dresser works collaboratively with the director and set designer, master carpenter, costume designer and prop master to help achieve a quality production while adhering to the budget. She/he must work with designers and master carpenter regarding color and design style and budget allocations. For more info...

  • Sound Designer/Sound: The sound designer works collaboratively with the director to help achieve a quality production while adhering to the budget. He brings his expertise as to sound requirements for the production. For more info...

  • Stage Manager: The Stage Manager attends rehearsals and, once the production hasmoved into the theater, keeps everything moving in a timely and professional amnner.S/he calls all cues for actors, lights and sound thoughout the run of the show.For more info...

  • Usher : Takes tickets, hands out programs and helps attendess find their seats.For more info...
